Before we were DesignerDuo, we were just two passionate creatives working behind the scenes — learning, hustling, and designing for brands all over the world.
Subash's Journey
Subash got into design back in 2008. Since then, he has worked with some of the top tech companies in Nepal and over a hundred brands around the world.
His designs have helped clients raise more than 100 million dollars in funding. It wasn't just about making things look good, but about making them work. He was also one of the first designers from Nepal to be invited to Dribbble when it was still an exclusive, invite-only platform. That early recognition helped shape his career and opened doors to global opportunities.
Today, he is recognized as a top 3% designer on Toptal. But more than any badge or platform, it's his ability to turn ideas into thoughtful, strategic design that makes his work stand out.
Ishu's Journey
Ishu's path into design started a little differently. In 2007, she was selling websites over cold calls and later moved into customer support, helping troubleshoot website and hosting issues. That hands-on experience gave her a deep understanding of what makes a website truly work.
By 2013, she stepped fully into design, teaching herself UI/UX and building a strong focus on conversion. Around the same time, she started freelancing full time on Upwork, working with top marketing agencies and helping 7-figure business coaches grow through high-performing landing pages and funnels.
She's been a Top-Rated freelancer on Upwork ever since she joined, consistently delivering results that clients trust.
The Secret Sauce
Even though we had our own freelance paths, we were never really working alone. Whether it was sketching layout ideas, critiquing each other's drafts, or jumping in to solve tricky design challenges, we always found ourselves collaborating behind the scenes.
That constant feedback loop made our work better and helped both our solo careers thrive. Without even realizing it, we had already built something together.
